I wouldn't say it's a big mistake...I'm certainly not an expert in photoshop, I just meant that the background clashed with the texture of the hair a wee bit...other people will probably think it's ok

You've got some interesting line quality here. I think if you pushed it a little further next time by varying the direction you lay down the pencil you could create a really kinetic piece. This piece has some very nice structure and if you took that and loosed up the line I think it would really pop. Keep up the good work.

I've got nothing to say here that have not already been said. it's indeed a good drawing, but, knowing the limitations and characteristics of your tools you could have worked the hair and background in a different way. I think you could smear some of the background, or work with the side of the pencil's tip. Besides that, It's an expressive drawing

Only 2 hours? Admirable! Your eyes must be well trained. I couldn't capture someone that fast. I always mess around with the right place of the individual parts... and in the end I'm erasing through the paper. I also like that somehow defiant expression... and I'm one of the people who think the background is good. Because it has a childish, turbulent flow that fits.

The background yes does have alil clash but its not to much of a big WOOPY!..lol I think whats alil bit off is the shirt with the background actually.. but you hardly notice if your not looking so close lol.. Great capture of the girls face - as i looked at the picute, and the photo i couldn't make much of the difference. And although i agree that the background shouldn't be so dark [for one example it merges with the child's shirt], and the strokes could be going different ways. But i agree with all the others - great and beutiful portrait.
